It is a site that receives grants in order to archive old and current websites for posterity.

It's pretty cool, and who knows, in this day and age, it might even come in handy for a paper or two.

EDIT: If you want one of those template sites yet would like something a little less mainstream, Carbonmade is an awesome service to check out. You don't even need any HTML experience.

Unlike this funny set of equations, this seems like an improbable equation. How could hair and oil possibly give off mushrooms and a cleaner environment?

According to a San Francisco-based non-profit, the answer is quite easily. Human hair is woven into mats which are used to absorb motor oil. These soaked mats are then spawned with oyster mushrooms (which are edible) that then turn the gunk into something that is easily compostable.

NANO-NANO is a small robot keychain thingy designed by Koichi Miyajima. They are created out of small electrical parts and cost $18.50 each.

“Playing a leading role today in supporting high-tech society, artist Koichi Miyajima created the humorous and nostalgic figure of a human-like robot. Ironically made from the anonymous inorganic parts found in standard electronic goods, he shaped them to suit the city dwellers of the electronic age. Aren't they cute? Kinda want to make something like this now :)

This semester, I had the privilege of working on an forecasting project with a convenience store chain and in the process created a program that utilized formulas in excel to come up with results. Anyway, in doing so, I gained a new appreciation and love for excel and the things that can be done with such database tools. Because of this, coming upon this site, was really amazing.

It's called Daily Dose of Excel and it features daily tips and tricks on how to better utilize this silent beast. It features useful diagrams and charts to better help the reader understand what is going on.

Heheh, excel... I swear it could probably even do your laundry if you worked hard enough at it.

I still can't figure out how it is that my roommate can work on stuff in the dark. Maybe he has some special power going on or something, but for those of you that are a little less apt to studying in darkness, this might be for you.

1. Find the month you want to read.
2. Use your thumbs to cover the numbers that are not directly below the month header.
3. Note the color of the month header. The last day of the month is rendered in the same color.

OMG, this is so much better than the tablet I have. Haha, technology and the things we can do with it never ceases to amaze me. Simply check this out, a PC that uses e-ink and RF technology to allows designers to draw in color (allowing them to skip the very tedious stage of transferring the sketch into a digital format).

Like the people who like to name small things, comes two sites from people that have too much time on their hands.

This first site has some 470 issues that kids face in their lives. So many problems, and yet we think we have it though.

Secondly, is this site about text highlighting.

What is interesting about this site is that it says it's just about having fun with highlighting and yet there seems to be something more subversive, even perhaps counterculture-esque about it. Do you do what the site tells you? Or engage this whim by counteracting. Maybe this is just me over exaggerating what I see, or the fact that I haven't read all of the text.

Seems like a familiar trend... ughh, back to the books now.

My favorite dance song right now, has still got to be, "In The Dark" by Tiesto. The beat, the sounds, the base... oooooh. Almost makes me want to go back to those days when I wanted to be a VJ (Video Jockey), almost.
